To support one frail elderly person, it is imperative that specialists work together as a team, such as doctors, PTs, OTs, nurses, nutritionists, care managers, care workers, social workers and other specialists in medical and supportive services. Houei Clinic was established in 1982 to provide medical services and contribute for well-being of the elderly living in local area.

There are two important features of Houei Clinic to assure team care for each patient. The first feature is rehabilitations. Our hospitalization aims at not only medical treatment but also supportive care that maintain the abilities of the patients. Also Houei clinic has rehabilitation center and PTs, OTs and STs provide rehabilitation programs based on scientific data to improve the ADL of the elderly.

The second is specialized examination and treatment by psychogeriatric doctor for dementia patients. Dementia can be cured or arrested with its growth if appropriate care is given in its early stage. Also there is day care service to provide special program for dementia patients.

In 2002, Houei Clinic has started dentistry service to provide oral care and dental treatment for the elderly. With all these medical and supportive services, we ensure people’s health and quality of life.
